A basic soap recipe just needs a few essential ingredients: Water, vegetable fat, essential oils for fragrance, and Potassium Hydroxide. However, you may want to consider an additional list of ingredients such as coconut oil and shea butter that are beneficial to the skin. Potassium Hydroxide solution, when mixed with fats and oils, will cause a chemical reaction called saponification. The result of saponification is beautiful natural handmade soap.

Always add Potassium Hydroxide to the water, and NOT the water to Potassium Hydroxide. An unpleasant, violent reaction occurs if you do.

常用方法 Common Use:
Pour the potassium hydroxide solution into the oils when oils get heated up in a crockpot, then stickblend to trace. Once your paste is made, you will need to dilute it to make a liquid soap. Liquid soap paste is comprised of the base oils and caustic solution (potassium hydroxide + water). The amount of liquid you use to dilute is calculated based on your paste weight. Dilution takes hours, and require stirring time to time. Once diluted, you can add essential oils to create your favourite scent.

Store in a closed container at a dry and cool place. Away from direct heat and sunlight. Refrigeration is not necessary. Keep out of reach of children.
注意事項 Contraindication:
For external use only, and should not be ingested. Should not be stored within the reach of children. Wear goggles, rubber gloves, long sleeved shirts and pants when using Potassium Hydroxide. Any spills on your skin and eyes should be flushed with water for 30 minutes. Large spills and exposure to eyes will require immediate medical attention after flushing with water. Keep away from clothing. Avoid all contact with aluminum.
